Have you heard that some of the Dodger players that helped win The World Series last year got traded or became free agents? Some of these players are Pedro Baez,  Alex Wood, Kike Hernández, Joc Pederson, Dylan Floro, and Adam Kolarek.

While this saddens many Dodgers fans it may be better for their careers.  For example, Joc Pederson signed with the Chicago Cubs since he hoped for more playing time than he had gotten with the Dodgers. Joc is a 28 year old left and center fielder. He signed a one year, 7 million dollar deal with the Chicago Cubs on February 5, 2021.

However Kike Hernández reached free agency with one priority. His priority was to join a team that would give him a chance to play one position every day. Kike then signed a two year, 14 million dollar deal with the Boston Red Sox. He will be making $6 million in 2021 and $8 million in 2022 while playing as an infielder.

The former Dodgers players say that they enjoyed playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Some even say that it was such an honor to help win a World Series. They also said that playing for the Dodgers made them a better person. Even though some of the Los Angeles Dodgers fans are very sad to see some of their favorite players leave they still wish them good luck with their futures.
