Would you rather have school year round, or have school how it is now? With summer off and you going back to school in August. This is a subject up for debate, should school be all year round? Or should we keep it the same? In my opinion, I think that school should stay how it is now. Summer off until early or mid August, not throughout the whole year.
One reason to support my opinion is that school being year round may overwork kids. If school was year round there would be no breaks. This means they will have no breaks. Also, kids will be more refreshed when they go back to schools compared if they did all year round, if they didn’t have a break.
Another reason to support my claim is that with summer break, kids would be less stressed. If kids don’t get a break, they won’t have time to do what they would like, they would be working a lot, making kids overly stressed. You should also consider that If the kids are stressed due to no break, they may perform worse throughout the years due to their stress.
One last reason to support my opinion is, summer break gives kids time to socialize outside of school. Socialization is important, since you have a limited time of socialization in school, summer break would give you a few months to socialize without any consequences. Some may argue that you can socialize in school. But, you need permission to talk, even if you were able to talk freely, it would be nice to talk to someone outside of school, there would not be enough time to do that without summer break.
I think that school shouldn’t be year round, and that we should have a summer break. One of my reasons is school being year round may overwork kids, another reason is, with summer break, kids would be less stressed, one last reason is summer break gives kids time to socialize outside of school. These are my reasons to why I think that school should have summer break and not be year round.
